Welcome to my Website!
Hello, My name is Stephanie Sybliss. I've been tutoring for over seven years and I absolutely love what I do!
I'm a locally based tutor in Sutton, London and I run English tutoring lessons for students from my Learning Studio that are either face to face or online.
As an English tutor; who fully specialises in this subject means I can offer you a bespoke tutoring service and hone my craft. I fully work at this for a living, so that I can get the best out of my students and that in turn; creates very happy clients!
I enjoy seeing all my students thrive in ways that they never thought possible. I still get a kick out of seeing a student get that 'light bulb moment' when they understand something they just didn't get before.

About Me
I am a passionate and confident Tutor who has a BA Honours Degree in Literature and I hold a Full Enhanced DBS Certificate.
I specialise in all aspects of English; including English Literature, English Language and Creative Writing. I am also a published writer and blogger, so I can offer English writing services and consultation on how to create a winning blog for your website; or a CV and personal statement for employment.
Having worked for a number of years in schools and college settings has enabled me to become exceptionally proficient at preparing learners to become more knowledgeable in their work, as well as becoming confident when sitting their exams.
I have successfully aided students when they are sitting their 11+ English Common Entrance tests. Some of them have secured places into schools such as; Nonsuch High School for girls, Tiffin boys school, Tiffin girls school, Wallington High School for girls and many more.
Equally I have become adept when assisting students in preparation to sit their GCSE English Literature and English Language exams, as I am familiar with the 9-1 GCSE English Literature and English Language Exam Specifications and can provide tailor-made tutoring and advice to suit specific areas of this curriculum.
I believe that being a patient tutor is key when supporting students on their learning journey, as well as having a mutual respect for the difficulties when understanding certain concepts.
I absolutely welcome nervous or shy students to tutor with me in a quest for them to be able to reach their full potential!

Successful students!
Congratulations to all of my students whom I have tutored in 2023 and to those I will continue to tutor in 2024. I am so proud of you all!
During this time, I tutored and assisted EIGHT of my students in their 11+ English common entrance tests. They managed to secure places into the following schools:
Nonsuch High School for Girls, Tiffin Boys School, Tiffin Girls School, Sutton Grammar School, Wallington High School For Girls & Wilson's School.
I have also seen FIVE of my students receive a GCSE English Literature and English Language higher pass of a Grade 5-9 and my TWO GCSE students receive a standard pass in English Literature and English Language of a Grade 4. All of these students have gone onto further education settings such as: Tiffin Girls Sixth Form, Kingston College & NESCOT.
All my other students; regardless of whether they have sat an exam, have shown tenacity and a positive attitude to succeed in their tutoring lessons. Well done to everyone!
